Normally I focus on hair health but today it is about hair length. HAPPY EASTER! Since we are (well,I am) enjoying the reason for the season (Jesus), I thought I should bless you with a post lol. So, Sunday Service was wonderful and my highlight had to be when Pastor Ralph was referring to people who were not praising God during reggae praise time. I quote, “do not turn our reggae into blues” lmao. He comes up with some ‘bahddd’ punch lines. Anyways, I have not seen my Temi in a while so we took pictures to show just how much we missed each other *laughs*. Amazingly, we both wore our traditional Nigerian attires to church. I have to give a special shout out to my aunty Kate who bought my Kaftan in 2011, I do love it 🙂 Also, thank you Baba-K for taking the pictures *hugs*
Temi only just got her braids done at the salon yesterday so I did not want to play too much with her hair to prevent unnecessary breakage. But here’s an up close look of the simple impromptu styling in church.
Of course we had to have an up close of me rocking Keke!
I was looking at the pic and I realised wow it won’t be too long that my hair will be this length (remember my goal is too have healthy waist length Nigerian Afro Hair by Dec 2014). It struck me that the length of my natural hair straightened is almost the same length as my wig! I just had to do a comparison of my natural hair which was straightened (flat ironed) Dec 2012 and my Brazilian Wig aka Keke. Guess you can call it the battle between my natural hair length versus Keke’s (wig) hair length. On this occasion Keke has won the battle but I know a time will come when my natural hair will win hands down! *fired up*
Of course I know my hair can never be silky like the Brazilian hair to the right (pic above) but I must say I do love my hair and it’s versatility. So, in case you were wondering what my hair natural hair texture looks like when straightened with a flat iron/hair straightener now you know (pic above – the left). I plan on straightening my hair either in May (end of April earliest). Anyways, I need my rest and so does Keke (flings off wig lol). Bye Preyonce and Hello ‘Ayebadepreye’ (African name in full) and yes my hair is plaited all going back. That’s it for today loves. Have a great week.
P.S. Is it me or is my front hair actually growing! *dancing makossa* (check out my previous post ‘Let’s Talk Edges’). I have been doing a lot of reading & research in preparation for some posts to come so watch out guys! Show your support by Subscribing, Following, Liking, Commenting and Sharing. Thanks 🙂
